For Mobile Apps
An Application is anything that can be installed on a platform such as iOS or Android. A single App.typography subscription covers one application, regardless of the number of operating systems on which it can be installed: for example, XYZ Weather for Android and XYZ Weather for iOS are considered one App.typography title, not two.
If you’re publishing multiple titles, count only those applications which can be installed on the same device simultaneously. For example, the free and paid versions of XYZ Weather are considered only one App.typography title, not two. But the separate applications XYZ Learn French, XYZ Learn Spanish, and XYZ Learn Italian each requires its own title within App.typography.
A Digital Publication is a periodical distributed in digital form, regardless of the file format in which it’s distributed. A single App.typography subscription covers all issues of one periodical: for example, the twelve monthly issues of News Monthly require only a single App.typography title, not a subscription with twelve separate titles. A single App.typography subscription covers the distribution of your title both as a standalone file (such as a .pdf or .folio file), and through distribution channels (such as Facebook Instant Articles or Apple News.)
If you publish periodicals under more than one name, you’ll need an App.typography title for each one. For example, to use H&Co fonts in both News Monthly and Sports Monthly, add a second title to your App.typography subscription.
An eBook Imprint is the colophon under which a publisher produces digital content. For example, all books published by XYZ Classics are covered by a single App.typography title.
If you publish eBooks under different imprints, you’ll need an App.typography title for each one. For example, to use H&Co fonts in eBooks published by both XYZ Classics and XYZ Children, add a second title to your App.typography subscription.
